


Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea

Mr. Vu Ho is a veteran diplomat of Vietnam, currently holding the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea since March 2024. With more than three decades of dedication to the diplomatic sector, he has held many important positions at home and abroad, actively contributing to Vietnam’s foreign affairs and international integration.
After graduating from the Soviet Foreign Trade Academy in 1990-1993, he began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, working at the Diplomatic Corps Service Department, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Department of General Economics, and especially having a long-term attachment to the ASEAN Department – where he held many positions from specialist, Deputy Director to Director.
During his time working abroad, he served as Third Secretary and Second Secretary at the Embassy of Vietnam in the United States (1999 – 2003), and then as Deputy Consul General – Second Secretary at the Consulate General of Vietnam in Houston, USA (2013 – 2016).
With his extensive knowledge, strong diplomatic skills and high sense of responsibility, Ambassador Vu Ho has made many important contributions to promoting ASEAN regional cooperation, as well as strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and international partners. Currently, in his position as Ambassador to Korea, he continues to play a bridging role in consolidating and developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, contributing to affirming Vietnam’s increasingly high position in the international arena.
